Hi! I’m Vanessa Bartko Huynh, founder and designer behind Honeyami. My unique aesthetic stems from my global view of the world. American born, I spent the majority of my childhood in London traveling Europe frequently and exposed to things foreign and fascinating to me. After earning a BFA in interior design I worked for boutique architecture firm Luce et Studio, and designed for big brands Banana Republic and Michael Kors. Married to a Vietnamese-American, my husband and I began our family and celebrate our diverse backgrounds and cultures with our two boys. Motherhood inspired a search for stylish, youthful bedding and a passion for organic cotton fabrics culminating in the launch of my brand, Honeyami, in 2009.
My position on all things organic is realistic and accessible. There are certain nursery items that should be organic and those are the ones worth investing in. I do not have an ‘eco’ aesthetic or believe you should sacrifice style for safety. You can have both! Honeyami has been embraced by design-focused and green parents alike and has been sold in Bloomingdale’s, ABC Home as well as several specialty baby shops across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia.
